Harlow Glass have completed the manufacture and installation of a glass feature in the reception area for Latham and Watkins LLP in the heart of London. This project used red interlayer of the glass panels provides a striking effect. This worked in harmony with the rest of the reception design. It is a great example of traditional glass being used in modern design to create contemporary effect.
The installation required supply and installation of the glass fins and all the associated fittings and supports. These included minimal brushed stainless steel channels. These support the fins at the head and base allowing the glass to span full height. The red colour of the interlayer is taken from a range of finishes available in laminated glass panels. The interlayer used on this project allows light through. But also still provides a view through the panel. The simple red filter effect helps to enhance the clients branding.
The fins were positioned to align with recessed lighting. These lights were installed at the base and head of the fins. The resulting appearance at night is as striking as in the day. The installation was fully co-ordinated with the main contractor. This helped to avoid any installation issues on site.
