Glazed Lift Shaft

Following a complicated installation Harlow Glass has completed the fabrication and installation of the cladding panels to two fully glazed lift shafts in the refurbished Hackney Town Hall.  The project required close design co-ordination with the steel work contractor along with open dialogue with the main contractor to achieve installation around surrounding finishes.  Bespoke glass clamps hold the laminated glass panels in place with a silicon seal applied between panels.  As the steel work was already fabricated, Harlow Glass had to work to very tight tolerances to achieve the design intent.  The installation was completed without a loss of any panels and working to the client tight health & safety requirements.
